My main goal, with this interview page, is to introduce new actresses, actors, singers and artists that people have not heard of. Along the way, if I get an amazing opportunity to interview someone that many know about; I hope my readers learn something new about that artist. There is so much talent out there in the world; I think it is time that people are introduced to new artists. INTERVIEW #116: BAILEE MADISON (Actress)
Bailee Madison is a girl with so much Faith and is always so up beat. Bailee has always said that God is first and is her major inspiration. Bailee has been a part of many acting projects including starring in an episode of RL Stine’s “The Haunting Hour”, guest starred on a few episodes of the hit Disney show “Wizards of Waverly Place”, and has a new movie coming out called “Just Go With It” starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. Q #1: At what age did you start acting?
Bailee’s Answer: “I started acting when I was six years old.”
Q #2: What was your very first acting role?
Bailee’s Answer: “My very acting role was “Lonely Hearts” with John Travolta and Salma Hayek.”
Q #3: Who are your inspirations?
Bailee’s Answer: “My inspirations are my mom, because she has always been there for me, and I really look up to her. To be able to go to her for anything or that she is always around. I definitely look up to God, because he has blessed me with so many opportunities., and I look up to Him very very much. I definitely look up to my family as well.”
Q #4: What is your favorite part about acting?
Bailee’s Answer: “My favorite part about acting would probably be traveling, because I get to go to new places, meet need people, and make new friends. That is one of my favorite parts.”
Q #5: What is most challenging about acting?
Bailee’s Answer: “The most challenging thing about acting would probably be doing different varieties, because it is definitely a new experience each time. It can also be challenging sometimes when people turn you down, but you just want to always keep your head held high and be prepared for anything to happen. Just know that God is in charge, and that He knows what he is doing.”
Q #6: What was it like being in an episode of RL Stine’s “The Haunting Hour” TV series and can you tell everyone more about your character and the storyline?
Bailee’s Answer: “The “Haunting Hour” is about a girl “Lilly” and she is a little bit spoiled for her age, and she gets this life size doll that she gets really attached to, so her mom takes her away. Her mom falls under this spell of this doll, so I turn into a doll. It is this crazy story filled with bumps in the road, but it has a good ending. It was so much fun. The entire cast and crew were amazing. The director was so much fun. It was shot in Vancouver. It was just so much fun and a great experience. I loved it. I would love to go back and shoot another episode one day.”
Q #7: What was it becoming part of the Disney family and guest starring on “Wizards of Waverly Place” as “Maxine”?
Bailee’s Answer: “So much fun. I love “Wizards of Waverly Place”. I watch it as much as I can. I love the Disney Channel. They just totally welcomed me into the “Wizards’” Cast and family.and I felt right at home. It was great for me.”
Q #8: Can you tell everyone more about your role as “Maxine” on “Wizards of Waverly Place” and your experience on set?
Bailee’s Answer: “My experience as “Maxine”. It was a lot of fun, because I have watched Jake forever, ever since the show started. He is one of my favorite characters, because he just has the dumbness and funniness to him which is hilarious in the show. Play with him and have fun. It was interesting playing a boy, when you are a girl, but it was a lot of fun.”
Q #9: Do you have a favorite memory from being on set of the Disney show “Wizards of Waverly Place”?
Bailee’s Answer: “It would probably have to be my birthday, because it was a live audience night that night, so some of the fans came up and they all sang happy birthday to me and the cast sang to me as well. I had a pokadot and Coldstone cake. It was definitely a dream come true to have my birthday on the “Wizards’” set and Disney.”
Q #10: Can you tell everyone more about your new movie “Just Go With It” and your character “Maggie” in the movie?
Q #11: What was it like working on set with Adam Sandler in the movie “Just Go With It”?
Bailee’s Answer: “Just Go With It” is about a man name “Danny” played by Adam Sandler. He wears a fake wedding ring to impress these girls. He actually falls in love with a girl “Palmer”, played by Brooklyn Decker. She finds the ring and wonders why. So, he takes his secretary, Jennifer Aniston (“Katherine”), who also plays my mom and convinces her to play his pretend wife and his pretend kids. It takes place in Hawaii. It is awesome and such a great storyline. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it is perfect.”
Q #12: Do you have a favorite memory from working on set with Adam Sandler in the movie “Just Go With It” as “Maggie”?
Bailee’s Answer: “My favorite memory would have to be when Adam pushes me. There is a huge scene that he pushes me into a huge pile of mud, and afterwards he was like “You did so good Bailee. I am so proud of you”, and that meant a lot coming from Adam Sandler. He encouraged me to do my best and has taught me so much. He is a wondeful.”
Q #13: Do you have anything in common with your character “Maggie” from your movie “Just Go With It”?
Bailee’s Answer: “Do I have anything in common with “Maggie”? Well, she really wants to be an actress. So, I guess that is one huge thing we have in common. She’s great. There are all these accents she has to do, and I do accents in some of these movies. It is awesome. I can kind of relate to her, because she just a young girl who just wants to have fun.”
Q #14: If you could act alongside anyone, in the future, who would it have to be?
Bailee’s Answer: “If I could act alongside anyone, in the future, it would probably have to be Meryl Streep because I love her and all of her work.”
Q #15: Are you working on any acting projects right now or have any events coming up?
Bailee’s Answer: “Well, the red carpet is tonight (February 8th) for “Just Go With It”. After the carpet, I have to catch a 5:00 flight. Hopefully I can make it, and I start a movie tomorrow called “A Taste of Romance”. It is going to be on the Hallmark Movie Channel, but it going to be the movie of the week. It is going to show at a bunch of other places. It is really exciting. It is a great movie. I am really excited to begin. The crew is incredible. I haven’t met all of them. So far so good.”
Q #16: What is your favorite current TV show?
Bailee’s Answer: “Can I say, I watch it all the time, but I still watch ”Wizards”? I definitely watch it every single Friday night. Not because I was on it, I promise you that, but because it is a great show and always makes me laugh.”
Q #17: If you were stuck in one TV show which would it have to be?
Bailee’s Answer: “Can it be a reality show? Even though I played “Maxine”, I would love to do more episodes with them. So, “Wizards of Waverly Place” again. It is just such a great show. I love it.”
Q #18: What is your favorite past movie?
Bailee’s Answer: “The last one I saw, I mean it is animated. I went to the premiere of “Tangled”. I thought that was a great film.”
Q #19: What was the last movie you saw in the movie theatre?
Bailee’s Answer: “The last movie I saw in the movie theatre was “Tangled”.
Q #20: Who is your favorite Disney princess?
Bailee’s Answer: “My favorite Disney princess I would have to say Belle from “Beauty and the Beast”. I love her, she is so pretty.”
Q #21: What is one thing you cannot live without?
Bailee’s Answer: “My blankets. I cannot go to sleep without them. I know. They make me feel comfy.”
Q #22: What is your favorite subject in school?
Bailee’s Answer: “Probably History. My teacher is big on History. I love that.”
Q #23: What do you like to do in your free time?
Bailee’s Answer: “I like to hang out with my friends and family, go the park, ride my park, play with my puppy Maddie, and go to the mall with my sister. Yeah, it is a lot fun. Just all the normal stuff.”
Q #24: What is your favorite restaurant/food place in Florida or California ?
Bailee’s Answer: “My favorite restaurant? When I am back in Fort Lauderdale; I have three favorite restaurants I cannot live without because they don’t them in LA. Number one would have to be the Country Ham N’ Eggs restaurant, so that is my breakfast spot. Number two Rendezvous’ Subs, because they have the best subs I have had. They have fun with them like they through the meat and it lands on the sub. It is awesome. Number three, would have to be Wings N’ Things. They have the best wings. They are awesome.”
Q #25: Do you have any pets?
Bailee’s Answer: “Yes, I just got a puppy Maddie. She is a Golden Doodle, which is a Gold Retriever and a Poodle. She is sweetheart, she is very playful, and I love her very much.”
Q #26: If you had a soundtrack to your life what song/songs would have to be on it?
Bailee’s Answer: “If I had a soundtrack to my life? Well, lets see. Probably Taylor Swift’s “The Best Day”, because literally everyday is usually the best day.”
Q #27: What charity is closest to your heart?
Bailee’s Answer: “What charity is closest to my heart? Well, Alex’s Lemonade. It is just one cup at a time that is made. It is just awesome.”
Q #28: Do you have a favorite quote or saying that is always on your mind?
Bailee’s Answer: “Probably humble, because humble is great. “Be still and know that I am God” is great too.”
