Q #1: At what age did you start singing?
Celica’s Answer: “I started singing ever since I was a little girl. I know everyone says that. It is true. I come from a very musical family. The whole entire immediate family sings. All my cousins do. When ever we get together, around the holidays, we just sing a bunch of songs. It is just really fun.”
Q #2: How did you get discovered?
Celica’s Answer: “It happened through a mutual friend; his name is Jonathan Croan. He was in my parents band when they were younger, and he ended up working with my producer Keith Thomas. I went into the studio to do a demo, on a song called, “Change of Rain,” which my parents wrote. So, he ended up hearing it, and asked me to come audition, and it has been great ever since.”
Q #3: Who are your inspirations?
Celica’s Answer: “Jo Jo, Neo and Christina Aguilera. I mean they have just music you can just dance to and are fun.”
Q #4: Where do you get inspiration for you songs?
Celica’s Answer: “What I go through, family things, teen girl problems, and teen boy problems. I love to write about boys. It will all come out as a song. Just things that my friends go through, and stuff that happens in life. I try to write songs that encourage and inspire people.”
Q #5: What songs have you written?
Celica’s Answer: “I don’t have a recording song that I have written, but I have written a song with my brother. It hasn’t gotten out yet, but we are hoping to record it soon.”
Q #6: What was it like being part of music videos for Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and Craig Morgan?
Celica’s Answer: “It was so cool! I actually didn’t get a chance to meet them, but it was amazing. I got to meet so many great people. I got to do all kinds of stuff. It was just really fun.”
Q #7: What was it like being part of the Hannah Montana Movie?
Celica’s Answer: “It was so much fun! I actually saw Miley Cyrus. She is really pretty. I got to meet so many great people. One person I met during the Hannah Montana movie; I actually did another movie with. We have been really good friends. If you have seen the movie, there is a part where the white limo is going down the street and screaming fans are running towards the limo. I was part of that scene.”
Q #8: You have a musical family, what was it like singing with your mom on CMT’s Can You Duet?
Celic:a’s Answer: “It was so much fun! I mean singing with my mom makes me less nervous. We met two girls on other shows. It was so much fun!”
Q #9: If you could perform anywhere, in the world, where would it have to be?
Celica’s Answer: “If I could perform anywhere probably Italy. I know that sounds really crazy. I think it would be so much to go out of the country and sing for people. I think that would be so cool.”
Q #10: If you could perform with anyone, in the future, who would it have to be?
Celica’s Answer: “I would like to perform with Jo Jo. She one of my main influences. I have been listening to her since I was younger. That would be amazing. She is an incredible singer.”
Q #11: If you perform on any TV show or talk show which would it have to be?
Celica’s Answer: “My favorite show is Julianna and Bill; they don’t have anything to do with singing or anything. She works for E news. I think it would be kind of cool to sing on the show. As for a talk show, I think it would be kind of cool to sing on Oprah.
Q #12: What is your favorite song to sing live?
Celica’s Answer: “I really enjoy singing “Skin Deep” just because it is really upbeat and hopefully makes people want to dance.”
Q #13: Do you have any events coming up or projects you are working on right now?
Celica’s Answer: “I am about to record another song in the studio. Hopefully that will come out soon. I just recorded a song a few weeks ago called “Twenty Roses,” and I hope it gets on ITunes. I am going to put it up on Myspace once it is finished. I am getting a little attraction, but I’ll see.”
Q #14: Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to sing as a career or just advice about careers in general?
Celica’s Answer: “I mean always go for your dreams. Work as hard as you can. That is probably one of the main things. If you do the best you can at what you do, most of the time you will end up in a great situation.”
Q #15: What was your favorite past TV show?
Celica’s Answer: “I love as I said, “Julianna and Bill.” I also really like “What I like About You.” It isn’t on that much anymore, but I watch it on ABC family. It is such a cute show.”
Q #16: What is your favorite current TV show?
Celica’s Answer: “My favorite current TV would have to be Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney channel. It is a fun show.”
Q #17: If you were stuck in one TV show which would it have to be?
Celica’s Answer: “If I were stuck on one TV show it probably would have to be ICarly. That would be really cool. It would be fun to be on their web show that they have.”
Q #18: What is your favorite past movie?
Celica’s Answer: “It would have to be Twilight.”
Q #19 What was the last movie you saw in the movie theatre?
Celica’s Answer: “I just recently saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. It is such an adorable movie. It is so cute.”
Q #20: What is your favorite Taylor Swift Song?
Celica’s Answer: “I really like her song “Jump and Fall.” I like that song a lot. It is so catchy.”
Q #21: What is your favorite restaurant/food place where you live?
Celica’s Answer: “My favorite restaurant is PS Jennings. They have the most amazing lettuce wraps in the World.”
Q #22: What charity is closest to your heart?
Celica’s Answer: “I really would like to help people in Haiti. I support all charities.”
Q #23: Do you have a favorite quote or a saying that is always on your mind?
Celica’s Answer: “I actually have two of them. The first is actually kind of funny. “When you are young you think everyone is looking at you, when your middle aged you hope everyone is looking at you, and when your old you realized no one was looking at you in the first place.” My other favorite quote would be, “If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.”
Q #24: Would you like to say anything to your fans and anyone who will be reading this interview?
Celica’s Answer: “I would like to say hey what is up? Hows life going?”
