INTERVIEW #27: ZOE MYERS (Singer, Actress, and Model)

Q #1: At what age did you start singing?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “I had my first solo in a school music theater
production when I was 7, but I was born singing :)”
Q #2: How did you get discovered?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “I don’t really consider it “getting discovered”
those are the crazy stories you hear about people working at a coffee
shop and getting hired for a huge film, but for me I have been doing
musical theatre, dancing, singing, acting my whole life basically!
Still waiting for my “big break” haha!”
Q #3: What was your first music/album release party like?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “When my first few songs came out I just threw them
up on myspace, but I had my first premiere for the “Robot Boy” and
“Mirror” music videos in December 2008 at The House of Blues in
Hollywood, it was crazy and so much fun! I couldn’t believe the
turnout of celebs and people that came to support me!”
Q #4: Who are your inspirations?
Zoe Myers’s Answer: “My mom is my biggest inspiration. I also love
having so many friends in the industry, it inspires me and we all
understand what it’s like so we can relate to each other! I also love
Audrey Hepburn; she was such a classy, fabulous person who supported a
lot of charities and always made her own fashion statements!”
Q #5: What songs have you written?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “I had at least partial song writing credit on all
of my songs that are out, I love writing lyrics!”
Q #6: Where do get inspiration when writing your songs?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “Every day life! It’s like writing in a journal,
like therapy.”
Q #7: If you could perform with anyone, in the future, who would it have to be?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “I LOVE Pink, Taylor Swift, Lady GaGa…. they all
have such a unique sound. You always know when it’s them singing.
They also all have great lyrics, like Taylor—girls everywhere can
relate to her songs!”
Q #8: If you could perform anywhere, in the world, where would it have to be?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “The Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia or the Georgia
Dome… growing up there I saw a lot of shows at both places, so it
became a goal to one day perform there, for all my friends and family!”
Q #9: Do you have any events coming up/projects you are working on/ or music you are recording?
Zoe Myers’s Answer: “I am currently writing new songs. I am also
working on a SAG Web Series call “My Mother/Agent” that I co-wrote,
it’s a really cute script and I got to film with some of my friends
like Tadhg Kelly from “Unfabulous”. I am also about to film a small
role in a feature film. You can see everything I am working on at my

Q #10: Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to sing as a career or just advice in general about careers?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “Just KEEP GOING! It’s easy to get discouraged but
if it’s something you love and you can’t imagine doing anything else,
it WILL happen for you!”
Q #11: If you could perform on one talk show which would it have to be?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “hmm that’s a tough one, I don’t watch a lot of
talk shows, but I love “Chelsea Lately”! Or “The Ellen Show” would be
fun!”
Q #12: What is your favorite TV show?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: ““Brothers and Sisters”, “Gossip Girl”, “90210”,
“One Tree Hill”, “Greek”
Q #13 If you were stuck on one TV show which would it have to be?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “A brand new one so I could start out the show with
everyone! Maybe something fun where I can sing and dance like a
“Fame” type show!”
Q #14: What is your favorite past movie?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “I like movies that I can watch over and over and
see something new or still laugh at it every time, like “Mean Girls”,
“Wedding Crashers”, “The Hangover”…. or really intense movies with
great actors like “Gia.”
Q #15: What is the last movie you saw in the movie theatre?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: ““Leap Year” with my sister! I also saw “Sherlock
Holmes” recently!”
Q #16: What is your favorite restaurant in California?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “Cafe Med, Casa Vega, Bossa Nova, Midori, and any
cute small cafes that I discover randomly!”
Q #17: Do you have any pets?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “Yes!! Dodger, he’s a maltese!”
Q #18: If you had a soundtrack to your life what song/songs would have to be on it?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “Oh man, it would change every day, or every hour hahaha!!”
Q #19: What charity is closest to your heart?
Zoe Myers’ Answer: “Any children, animal, or cancer charities! I love
the Ronald McDonald House and I am an ambassador for The Starlight
Foundation. I just did a benefit concert for The Southern Hope Animal
Charity, I love getting involved with charities. I am planning
another benefit concert soon for some charities!”
