Q #1: At what age did you start singing?
Anna’s Answer: “18 months. I loved “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”, “Itsy Bitsy Spider”, “Mary had a little lamb”, and “I’m a little tea pot”. I would sing and sing and sing until my mom would say, “Stop! You are singing way too much.” :)”
Q #2: At what age did you start learning piano?
Anna’s Answer: “Four years old. Music was always around me growing up, and my Mom and Dad helped me with lessons, while I was very young, which helped me but I always just sort of had it in me. I used to love to play movie theme songs for my younger brother, while he played legos. The music would help him pretend. I had a little electric piano my Mom and Dad bought me from Costco. I wrote some of my first songs on that little electric keyboard.”
Q #3: At what age did you start learning to play guitar?
Anna’s Answer: “I am just learning the guitar. I am not very good at it yet. I was nine, almost ten, when I got my first guitar. I have only been playing it for a few months. My first guitar was a bright blue Luna guitar, I got for Christmas. It is so pretty! I love it! I have another guitar, I have been playing too, called a Big Baby Taylor. I love it too! I have written two new songs for the guitar; you can hear on Youtube.”
Q #4: Who are your inspirations?
Anna’s Answer: “Taylor Swift, Jordin Sparks, The Beatles.”
Q #5: What songs have you written?
Anna’s Answer: “Quite a few, about 25. The music just wants to come out. Thy are on iTunes and Amazon too.”

"Dancing on Cobblestones"
"Have I Told You?"
"Dressed in Blue"
"You Knew Me"
"You’re My Gift for Always"
"Army of One"
"Heart and Hands"
"Give me your Heart"
"Me and My Piano"
"Don’t Bring Me Down"
"Take Me Where I want To Go"
"Longer and Longer"
"Hush Little Baby"
Q #6: Where do you get inspiration when writing songs?
Anna’s Answer: “Alaska is a beautiful place, especially in the summer time. Hikes and walks with my family and friends have helped to encourage me to write “Paradise” and “Take Me Where I Want To Go”. There is a big blue glacier right near my house and huge mountains, which is awesome. Love for my family and friends is another inspiration. Another powerful inspiration is other peoples music and talents. When I listen to talented musicians, I get it in me and want to do it too!”
Q #7: Where has been your favorite place you have performed so far?
Anna’s Answer: “The Ellen Degeneres Show”. Ellen and the people that work at Warner Bros were fantastic. We had so much fun! Ellen invited me back to meet Taylor Swift, and that was awesome too!”
Q #8: If you could perform anywhere, in the world, where would it have to be?
Anna’s Answer: “Madison Square Garden in New York. I want to visit New York someday, but playing at Madison Square Garden would be amazing!”
Q #9: What is your favorite part about singing/performing?
Anna’s Answer: “It is nice to see the emotion on other peoples faces and know that I am affecting them in a positive way, but it is also about expressing what is inside of me. I think that even if no one listened to my music; I would still do it. It is something inside of me that I just need to do.”
Q #10: If you could perform with anyone, in the future, who would it have to be?
Anna’s Answer: “Taylor Swift, Jordin Sparks, Paul McCartney and Colbie Caillat. Being able to perform with any of these people would be a dream come true but there are many others too. Not only are they amazing musicians but songwriters too.”
Q #11: Are you currently working on any singing/recording going on right now?
Anna’s Answer: “Yes, I am in the studio three or four times a week recording my first major album, with a band. This will be my official demo album. It will hopefully be finished by May 2010.”
Q #12: Do you have an advice for anyone wanting to sing as a career or advice in general about careers?
Anna’s Answer: “Believe in yourself! Don’t give up! Even if you think you can’t do it push yourself a little harder, and you will succeed. I always say I cant do it, it’s too hard and then if I step back and put a little more effort into it; I find its not as hard as I first thought.”
Q #13: What is your favorite Taylor Swift song?
Anna’s Answer: “I love the song “You Belong With Me” and “Today Was A Fairytale” from the movie Valentine’s Day.”
Q #14: What was it like being a guest on Ellen’s talk show?
Anna’s Answer: “It was amazing and to meet Ellen, and it was so much fun. My family and I had been putting videos of me singing up on Youtube. Youtube featured me and thats when Ellen found me. The Show sent us three emails which we weren’t sure were real and then we contacted them and they asked me to be on the show. They flew me and my family down to Los Angeles, and we had such a good time. We got to meet Ellen of course, and I got to play one of my songs for her. She was so nice and seemed to like my music. Afterwards, she invited me to come back and meet Taylor Swift on upcoming show. I came back again and brought Taylor Swift a little gift and had a wonderful time meeting her and visiting. Most of the time I was in shock. I couldn’t believe I was meeting and talking to Taylor Swift! She is beautiful and great singer and songwriter. I love Taylor Swift! Thank you to Ellen for making that possible and her great staff too.”
Q #15: What is your favorite current TV show?
